Iranian-Italian joint play ‘1+1’ has been staged at the 13th International Theater Festival for Children in Bucharest , Romania.
Produced by La Società della Civetta, Italian theater company in Bologna, and Nan-o Aroosak (bread and doll), an award-winning children theater company in Isfahan, the play won the jury award at the closing ceremony of the event.
‘1+1’ depicts the story of two men who come from different cultures and carry their own luggage.
The story happens in a land that has no owner. The two men divide the land into two pieces and bring about a border by an invisible line. They begin to create their new world there.
Launched in 2005, the Romanian festival is a comprehensive program aimed at expanding theater education, literacy and the aesthetic taste of the younger audience through shows, seminars on performing arts, debates and theater workshops for children.
